Rare Large Polychrome Painted Statue of Virgin Mary l Madonna l Holy Mother l Infant Child l 22.8"

This elegant antique statue represents the Blessed Mother Virgin Mary holding the infant Child, Jesus, was made by in hand in the 1940s and is rare. The large alluring sculpture in high relief, features Madonna standing on an attached base, and holding her Son, Lord Jesus Christ. The tall religious figure has wonderful polychrome details throughout the dress, hair and facial expressions. The religious statue is in excellent condition with a rich fruitwood patina. It has a few scuff marks on the back, which can be seen in the last image. I'm not sure whether they are surface only, but they do not take away from this rare piece. It measures: 7″W x 5.75″D x 22.8″H.
