This finely carved Antique Fruit, Basin Bowl with embossed butterflies and flowers with no signs of age or wear. This isn't your typical perfection antique...this is better! The white/ivory wash basin is made of pure ivory. Through the ages, this ornamental work of art has not aged and has been lovingly used. Since we are not professional in Asian antiquary, we cannot express certainty of the date that it was made. But the antique dealer who I bought it from in 1998 suggested that it from the 1800s. 

This is a great item for the antique collector on your holiday gift list. It makes a wonderful addition to any stately manor. But if someone does not love it more than we do, it is an item that we are content to maintain.
