Ample Antique Porcelain Floral China Cheese Butter Dish Gold Trim Dome, Circa 1900 

Here is a beautiful antique-covered English Staffordshire cheese (butter) dish with handle. Shaped like a large cheese wedge and stunning hand-painted decoration of florals, leaves, and geometric banners in the ironstone style. Top of lid has leaf design in relief with gilt accenting.

KEY FEATURES:

Marks: Maker's mark stamped under the bottom of the plate and inside the the cover

Condition: Good Antique Condition. Due to age, it has crazing and discoloration. No chips or through cracks. Some crazing, patina, wear and the "crackled" look of a century of survival. There is a double and reverse mis-stamp on the underside.   Note pictures.
